Materials for this clog were sourced from various corners of Italy, paying homage to their origins - leather from Tuscany and hardware from Veneto. Each region renowned for its distinction.
In her quest to craft an AOI clog, Creative Director Farah Marafie acknowledged the multifaceted nature of this art. Collaborating with individual artisans, each specialized in their unique step of the process, she meticulously curated a fusion of artisanal skills of expertise. Every artisan contributed their mastery, ensuring that AOI clogs became a standard for distinct crafts.
Each pair of clogs begins its journey with the selection of lightweight wood, chosen for both comfort and functionality. Each heel is sculpted to a custom shaped wooden sole and hand-carved to precise measurements, the heels then undergo a thorough hand-polishing and staining process at the same wood facility in San Mauro Pascoli, Italy. Adding character and uniqueness to each pair. Bespoke studs are hand-applied by dedicated artisans who specialize in intricate processes based in Veneto, Italy.
The meticulous assembly of these collectibles take place in Nerviano, Italy where the culmination of artistry and tradition brings each pair of clogs to life. Reflecting AOI’s dedication to quality and desired collectibles that stand the test of time.
