AN OCEAN of IDEAS is a brand and universe created by London-based designer and Creative Director Farah Marafie. Shaped by a multicultural life lived between creative capitals, she approaches her work as an artist, building AOI as a jewel box of ideas devoted to material, craft, and making. After studying Fashion Design at Parsons in New York and completing her MA at Central Saint Martins in London, she started AOI as her world of limited edition collectibles.

Farah Marafie is a designer, tastemaker, and the Founder and Creative Director of AOI. Her work sits between fashion, design, and art, shaped by a deep respect for craft, material innovation, and time. Rather than following trends or seasonal systems, Farah builds her universe slowly, allowing ideas to evolve through the making of her collectibles across disciplines.
She approaches design as a form of art and research. Each object begins with a question about form, use, permanence, and how something should feel in the hand or on the body. The process is never rushed, and it is never hidden.
Her Philosophy
Farah believes that things of quality have no fear of time.
